My journey to becoming a person-centred therapist began through personal experience with grief and loss. After experiencing the transformative power of therapy in my own life, I was inspired to help others navigate their own challenging times.
With over 30 years of experience in alternative therapies, my approach to wellbeing has always been comprehensive. My background spans both traditional counselling and alternative therapeutic methods, allowing me to understand healing from multiple perspectives.
My professional experience includes dedicated work with bereavement services, where I've supported individuals through various forms of loss - from the death of loved ones to the loss of relationships, pets, and identity. I've also spent 18 months working with a Scottish eating disorder charity, developing specialist knowledge in this area.
Having lived and worked abroad for a decade, I understand the unique challenges of major life transitions, cultural adjustment, and the impact of significant change. This international experience, combined with my entrepreneurial background in business, gives me a broad perspective on the diverse challenges people face in their personal and professional lives.
As a committed professional, I engage in regular supervision and ongoing professional development to ensure I provide the highest quality of care for the clients I work with.
